Installing SILTSHIELD With Optional CurbClaws ™

Fastening metal Siltshield CurbClaw T. M. to the rear surface of concrete curbing may be accomplished by either of two methods using the procedures described below.

The first of the two, (Figure A) will require the assistance of a power driving tool Propel our combination metal pin/washer into the rear surface of the cured concret Curbing which binds the CurbClaw between the washer and the concrete surface.

The Second method (Figure B) involves a CurbClaw formed to provide a projection that acts as an anchoring feature when pressed into the freshly poured Concrete.

All CurbClaws should be fastened 6 1/2 " below the top surface of the rear of the curbing as illustrated in (Figure C).

Guidance regarding the loading of these installed CurbClaws with the Siltshield is displayed on the reverse side of this sheet.

Proper orientation of the Siltshield stock relative to the top of the curbing is critical and is accomplished by placing the drainage holes just at the top of the curbing. Select the 7"side of Siltshield (Figure D) to install in the Curbclaws not the 8" side.

Begin the installation by inserting the lower 6" edge, of the Siltshield material between the concrete and the vertical metal prongs of the Curbclaws (Figure E).

Some additional pressure will be required to adjust the Siltshield stock either up or down in the CurbClaw to insure that the drainage holes are above of the top of the curbing and clear to function properly. (Figure F).

Continue adjusting the SLITSHIELD stock in the CurbClaws all along the length of the installation until it is fully seated and secure. ( Figure G )

The recommended horizontal spacing between the hangers is about 60" to 72".
